Raised panel door questions
What does the starting price include?
A single-layer steel door, 8 or 9 feet wide by 7 feet tall, with no windows. It is installed with springs sized to the new door, balanced and tested, and the old door is hauled away.
Short panels or long panels?
Short panels are square blocks, several across each section. Long panels are wide rectangles, two across a single door. Long panels suit wide, low ranch houses, and short panels suit taller or more traditional fronts.
Is an insulated door worth it if the garage isn't heated?
Often, for reasons beyond heat. A foam-filled door is stiffer, quieter and resists dents better than a single-layer door. If the garage sits under a bedroom or doubles as a workshop, it is the better pick.
Raised panels or recessed panels?
Raised panels have a pillowed center. Recessed panels, also called shaker, sit flat inside a crisp frame and look cleaner. We bring samples of both to the quote visit.
